Jewellery care

01

Storage

Ensuring proper storage for your jewellery is crucial to protect it from moisture and water. It is recommended to minimize exposure to these elements.

Store your jewellery in the original box it came in or use a felt pouch or ziplock bag for storage.

02

Cleaning

If you wish to clean your jewellery at home, here's a simple method you can use:

  • Prepare a bowl of warm water and add a small amount of dishwashing soap.
  • Gently immerse a toothbrush or soft cloth into the soapy water solution and carefully scrub the surface of the jewellery, taking care not to bend or damage it.
  • Rinse the jewellery with clean water and ensure it is thoroughly dried.

This straightforward cleaning solution can be your primary option for regular maintenance.

For a more thorough cleaning of silver pieces, you can try a popular home remedy using baking soda and water:

  • Line a medium-sized bowl with aluminum foil.
  • Boil water and pour it into the lined bowl.
  • Mix equal amounts of baking soda and add it to the hot water.
  • Submerge your jewellery in the solution for 3-5 minutes.
  • Rinse the jewellery thoroughly with running water.

Tarnish

Keep in mind that tarnishing is a natural process. It is normal for silver to tarnish, and factors such as moisture, perfumes, body lotions, and humidity can accelerate this process.

To prevent tarnishing, store your silver jewellery away from moisture and water, and clean it properly when tarnished.
